VENDOR NEWS And Updates!
Adobe
MEEC has negotiated an additional agreement with Adobe, a Master Enterprise License Agreement , ELA. This agreement will provide MEEC members with broader access to Adobe creative and productivity solutions across the enterprise.
The ELA is designed for the purchase of term licenses of Adobe software, either Creative Suite Design Premium or Master Collection - for all campus owned machines. Software such as Photoshop, Acrobat Pro and InDesign are just a few of the more popular titles included in both suites. The number of licenses purchased is based on a FTE count of faculty and staff. Faculty/staff Work at Home rights are included in the MEEC ELA and maintenance is required for the first period.
K-12 public institutions have the option of purchasing licenses for High Schools only or High Schools and Middle Schools.
Upon enrollment in the program, the commitment extends to the end of the term, July 31, 2014. There are two open enrollment periods.
March 1, 2012 - July 31, 2012
August 1, 2012 - July 31, 2013
As the current MEEC CLP term ends, MEEC sites with Adobe software under active maintenance are encouraged to review and evaluate details of this new program. For economic reasons, these MEEC CLP members may find it beneficial to enroll in February - at the pro-rated term.
Price is based on the total MEEC FTE count committed during the February enrollment period, with a minimum threshold of 7,500 FTE (Level 1) needed. If the 10,000 FTE (Level 2) threshold is attained during the February enrollment period, a deeper discount applies. Along with your procurement document, members enrolling in the MEEC ELA will be asked to complete a Schedule A, which refers to the Terms and Conditions in the MEEC Master Agreement. All documents must be submitted to Bell Techlogix, by February 15, 2012.
The Bell Techlogix staff is ready to assist you as you evaluate this new MEEC program. We are the reseller of Adobe products under the MEEC/Adobe agreement and can help you evaluate/determine if this offer is best suited to your technology academic mission.
